It all started as a hobby…
My name is Carolina, owner and balloon artist at Magic Balloons. I’m originally from Colombia and have lived in Minot for over 7 years. I’ve been making balloon decorations since I moved here as a hobby for my son’s birthdays and whenever my friends wanted to add extra-awesomeness to their parties. As time passed, I became more serious and practiced more and more so that I could come up more complex designs. A friend convinced me to not just make decorations as a hobby, but to make it a business. I took her advice to heart and traveled to Miami to get trained by one of the best balloon artists in the nation. People ask often “Why balloons?” I usually respond that I love to see people’s reactions to my work! Balloons tend to bring out our inner child and that makes me happy. To me, balloons mean happy moments!
